Following on from my close protection article on 6th January this year, and before I started to work for Valkyrie, I had a stint of living on the Isle of Wight.
The local newspaper, The Isle of Wight County Press, asked to write an article about my time living and working with Sir Michael Caine, here is the attached article with a picture of his autobiography, ‘Blowing the Bloody Doors Off and Other Lessons in Life’. I fondly remember being in the car with Sir Michael and whenever we talked about the film ‘The Italian Job’, he used to shout at the top of his voice, “You’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!”; and that guaranteed to make me chuckle! An iconic line since 1969, the year our managing director, Dave Webb was born (and contrary to popular opinion, three years before I was born)!
